It's that time again.

Got here a few more models done by the team and an updated sample sheet of our textures. Oh, and some particle screen shots in the Unreal 3 Engine.

As you can see, texturing has begun! Many of our models are going into their final phases before texturing, but there is still much to do! Everything posted are still works in progress. We hope to show you finalized pieces soon.

First past textures/samples

Here are some first past textures I've made. As written on the sheet, we got wood textures for the walls and planks, and a tileable ground texture. These were a lot of fun to do, and definitely a challenge. I have also applied the wood textures to a model made by Chris Ramirez. Just quick and dirty, nothing fancy. I really liked the result on this one. Also, I tried out some painterly Free Realms style texturing on the flower. Still a bit to go, but they are looking good so far.

Our presentation went pretty good! We received very good feedback on our progress, and we are on the right track for this project. Here are some final concepts, hope you like it!

This is a concept model for the trainstation, made by Mike Y.

The Hotel and its rooms in the cliff.

Final idea of the saloon that is going to be connected to the hotel. A pitcher will be animating pouring "rootbeer" to the mug.

And another update with some more color! We have here a set of thumbnails for some potential composition pieces. This is followed by two painted scenes of the town of Rawhide.

EDIT:
Fixed both of the compositions. Added a lot more yellow to show the overpowering light from the sun. Also added some dust flying around to give it a bit of a more desert'ish feel.

Huge update for prop concepts!

This is a big one! We haven't been posting up too many progress pics, so I've decided to put some up. So here are some concepts we've been working over the last few weeks for the town of Rawhide and its surrounding.

This specific post will be props and smaller assets that will be modeled in the very near future.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! We have here a potential Main street painting of our town, Rawhide. This was mostly a study to get the feel of Freerealms' style. I feel pretty comfortable with the lines, but still iffy on the painting.

Rawhide is a gold town that was founded under the gold rush, the town has always been a peaceful town, even for a place like the wild west. The town people have had the fortunated luck to not be affected as much from the surrounding troubles because of its hidden location in the desert, and their Indian neighbours have always been friendly to them. Today those days are all gone...

A gang of bandits have become aware of this hidden treasure town and taken control of Rawhide's gold mine and made it to their hideout. The evil bandits are harrasing the town people and the Indian village, demanding food and supplies from them. The peacefulness in Rawhide is no more, until a Hero comes and saves them from the evil bandits...
